Norolan Winter Light XL for Arctic Char

Brand-new release: Winter Light XL – now that’s an Arctic char lure with real size and presence!

You get what you ask for! We’ve repeatedly been asked for a larger Arctic char jig—and we had no choice but to make one. At first, we tested versions the size of a reindeer herder’s mitten, but decided to scale it down just enough so the lure fits through a standard ice hole without needing to widen it.

This beauty measures just over 15 cm in length and 4 cm in width.

A favorite among Arctic char anglers

Norolan has established a strong position among Nordic Arctic char anglers with its Arctic Light series lures. We don’t have exact statistics, but we dare to say that the Arctic Light lure may even be one of the best-selling Arctic char lures in the Nordics in recent years!

Based on customer feedback, we developed the new Winter Light XL Arctic char lure, which—thanks to its size—is highly visible from a distance and specifically designed for deeper waters.

Arctic char are attracted to shine

A new feature is the glittering surface, which reflects light and attracts Arctic char—known as a curious and hungry fish.

“Traditional” Arctic char lures appear almost black when viewed against the light, regardless of their color. In contrast, the translucent lens of the Winter Light lure glows with vibrant color when backlit. In front lighting, the glitter on the surface reflects light back toward the fish’s eye, acting almost like a mirror.
