Large, slow-retrieved lures work best in spring and autumn

Bigger lures are most effective when the water cools and the size of prey fish increases. In autumn and spring, it’s also important to use lures that can be retrieved slowly. Slow retrieves and pauses are often the key to success.

The brightest newcomer among big pike lures, the Norolan Griddy Dancer, is perfect for this. Its “whiskers” provide effective weed protection and create a hovering action during pauses. The lure almost glides in the water and can be retrieved very slowly, allowing you to target pike in cold water with slow retrieves and pauses.

Norolan Light Spoon and Light Spoon Weedless pike lures feature a lightweight design—heavy in the air for long casting, but light in the water. This allows for extremely slow retrieves and the use of pauses without the risk of snagging the bottom. They are ideal for fishing in shallow areas.
